After conducting an initial Search by Data Fields, Insight provides the ability to modify the result set by Narrowing, Broadening, or composing an entirely New Search.
Broadening a search expands a search result set based on the secondary search criteria.
Users can broaden any initial by data field search, but cannot utilize the by data field KEYWORD option as the secondary broadening criteria.
After performing either a simple data field search or a search by data fields KEYWORD search option, select the New Search button (located below the Search button) to display Broaden and Narrow options.
Select Broaden Search. The list of searchable Data Fields and the KEYWORDs option will be presented again.
Select a data field, choose the relation and enter
the value by which to expand your result set, then click search. The
new result set will appear in the Group Workspace.*
* Note: The KEYWORDS option in the by data field search cannot be used as a secondary search criteria to broaden a result set.
