The user can utilize multiple data fields and relations to create complex searches by using the and/or options available in Insight.
A user wishing to display only watercolors depicting animals would enter “subject” contains “animals”. Then, the user would click on the and button.
Clicking on and/or will display the complete list of data fields available for searching. The user may then choose "medium" contains "watercolor" and then click on Search.
Insight searches the database and returns images where subject contains “animals” AND medium contains “watercolor.”
If the user had used the OR option, where subject contains "animals" OR medium contains "watercolor", they would have been presented with all images of watercolors and all images with subject term “animals.”
