Export Presentation to PowerPoint

You will only see this feature if you have an existing presentation.  Also, you must be authorized or have the privilege to use this feature.  This feature exports a presentation to a destination of your choice as a PowerPoint (.ppt) file.  You also have the ability to select a resolution for exporting your presentation.  After the presentation has been exported, Insight enables you to immediately test your presentation by opening it in PowerPoint.

  1. Create a presentation and save it (if you do not currently have a presentation).

  2. Select the presentation that you just created or find another presentation by clicking on the Presentation icon on the Group toolbar.

  3. To export a presentation, click on File in the main menu, and then Export Presentation to PowerPoint.

Note:  You must select an existing presentation in your current collection before you see this listed in your File menu.

Note:
Export to Powerpoint is only available for Window Clients

  1. Select a resolution to view the images in your PowerPoint presentation.

  1. Insight exports a presentation to a destination of your choice as a .ppt file.  Specify a destination folder and Insight will automatically provide a name for your PowerPoint file.  For example, in the graphic below, Insight will automatically create a file called pres.ppt and you can have this file to be placed in the MyPresentation folder under Group Files.

  1. Select Save, and Insight displays the path to where the presentation was exported.

Note:  Insight creates a folder and uses the title of the presentation as the default folder name. The PowerPoint files are placed in this folder.  In the example below, the title of the presentation is "Untitled1," therefore, Insight creates a folder named Untitled1 and the .ppt files are placed in this folder.

You can test your exported presentation by clicking in the box that states: test exported presentation.  This will open PowerPoint and you will see each image in your presentation, in the order that you created them.
