Finding Video

You will only see this icon if there are video files in your current collection.  If there are no video files in your collection, you will not see this icon on your toolbar.  Selecting video files will automatically bring you the audio files that go along with the video.  The video icon (a slice of film)

appears on the main toolbar for Insight.  Follow the steps below to activate your video files.

  1. Click on the video icon from the main toolbar in Insight.  Insight will display in the Group Workspace all your video files that are in your current collection.

  2. Select a video file by double-clicking on its icon.

  3. The video file will open in your Image Workspace, along with the Audio/Video Remote Tool and the Image Workspace Tools.

  4. The video file takes a few minutes to load.  On the Audio/Video Remote Tool, you will see a

small "file loading bar" above the Minimize (V) button.  The bar will advance more and more to the far right (with the minutes/seconds indicated above the bar) as the video file is being loaded.  It will move all the way to the right when a file is completely loaded (as it is shown above).

  1. Use the buttons on the Audio/Video Remote to increase/decrease the sound, start the file from the beginning, go to the end of the file, advance the video frame, stop the video, or minimize the video remote icon.

  2. Use the Image Workspace Tool to further manipulate your video file. This is the same tool that is being used for other Insight functions as well.  All functionality will be the same except the thumbnail you will see on the tool will be a video icon instead of another image or object.
