Image groups are a collection of images that can be saved into a group or collection (image group) or it can be a retrievable file (from the user group within the User Manager, for example, newgroup1.grp) of a group of images that can be easily retrieved and viewed. You can also save a group of images to your local folder, but it can not be shared with others.
Note: If the group contains images from a collection you do not have open, Insight asks whether to open the necessary collection or to open the group with images from the currently active collection.
This option includes:
Show Selected -Displays only selected images in the current image group. This is helpful if you have performed numerous searches and selected various images along the way. This feature will gather and display only the images you have selected.
Select Visible -Selects (highlights) all images in the active image group. Once selected, you will have the option to cut, copy, delete, create multi-views, or show them in the Image Workspace (where you use the tool to manipulate images) .
Select None -Makes any selected images become de-selected.
Change Thumbnail Labels -Enable you to change the data located under the thumbnail image in the Group window.
Sort By -Enable you to select a field by which to sort the images in the selected group.
Create Remote Launch - Enable you to install, update, and launch the latest JVA version of Insight from a web browser. You can also view specific images that are passed from Insight JVA. This is initiated by the remote launch from the JVA client. This allows you to access the Insight JVA application from a browser.
Create Multi-view -Enables the structuring of images into a visual series and provides user navigation tools to follow different pathways through the visual content. You can use this feature to integrate many views of the same three-dimensional object, or to show motion. The experience at low resolution is similar to Quick Time VR, users can go beyond this level, and zoom, pan, resize windows, and so forth during navigation.
Create Presentation -Allow you to author and show a sequence of images. Presentations can be as simple as a series of sequential images shown at maximum screen size, or you can create richer presentations with customized images residing side-by-side for comparisons.
Edit Multi-Page Documents - You will only see this if you have multi-page documents in your collection. Select this feature to edit your multi-page documents.
