Selecting a Cataloging Template

Cataloging Templates contain the set of fields used to describe a media item.  Though Insight is installed with standard templates, your Insight Administrator may create more Cataloging Templates for you.  As you highlight each template on the left, a description of that template and a list of its fields will appear on the right.  When you know which Cataloging Template you want to use, highlight it and press  .

Templates

Choose from a list of available templates.  Highlight a template from the list and its description will appear on the right.

Description

A brief description of the purpose of the template.

Additional Info

A URL that provides more detailed information about the template.

Field Definitions

A list of all fields (field name and data type) in the template.
