Insight® software allows organizations to manage, access, use, and
present digital collections using the Internet. Insight is available
for collections starting with as few as a 100 images and expandable
to any number of images, videos or audio clips. Insight® works with
existing library and museum management systems and enables remote sharing
of collections with other Insight customers throughout the world. Insight®
is available either installed at an organization's site or by Luna hosting
a customer's collection. The Insight® product line includes:
- Insight® Standard
- All the power of Insight software comes pre-configured "out
of the box" with a VRA
Core 3.0 relational database.
- Insight® Apex - The enterprise
level suite of software and services for all your imaging needs.
- Insight®
Hosted - Provides online access to collections starting
at 100 images and expandable as needs grow.
Insight® Standard gives you all the power of Insight, and comes
pre-configured with the VRA Core 3.0 metadata standard allowing collection
owners the ability to install and begin building their collections quickly
and easily.
Insight® Standard includes:
- Relational database implementation of the VRA
Core 3.0 metadata standard pre-implemented in Insight® and
Inscribe™
- Software tools for adding and cataloging unlimited number of additional
images to the VRA collection
- Local management of user accounts and privileges through Insight®
Administrator Tools
- Ability to distribute or mirror media servers
- Ability to access remote collections like AMICO and other
Insight customer collections
- Unlimited end-user licenses through either Insight® interface:
JVA or Browser
- Inscribe™ cataloging tool
- Unlimited collections using the VRA Core metadata model
- On-Line Training

Insight® Apex includes:
- Luna professional services to build a custom data design for your
first collection (using institution-specific metadata fields)
- Custom software background to match your institution's own look
and feel
- Integration of the first 5000 images into the system
- Installation and training performed at your location
- Software tools for adding and cataloging unlimited number of additional
images and collections with various metadata schemas
- Local management of user accounts & privileges through Insight®
Administrator Tools

Hosted version of Insight® supports collection owners who want
all of the end-user capabilities of Insight, but do not have the necessary
server space and systems support to host their collection locally. Hosted
collections are expandable as needs grow.
Insight® Hosted includes:
- Relational database implementation of the VRA
Core 3.0 metadata standard pre-implemented in Insight® and
Inscribe™
- Software tools to catalog data for unlimited numbers of additional
images in the VRA collection (image integration fee applies)
- Pre-Configured user accounts and privileges through Insight®
